Skopje, July 29 — Apple’s digital wallet service, Apple Pay, which lets users pay using their iPhone or Apple Watch, has become available for some users in Macedonia, through NLB Bank.
The bank published a guide on its website explaining how to set up the app.
“Your iPhone is now your NLB card,” the bank announced.
At the moment, NLB is the only bank in Macedonia that has enabled Apple Pay, but others are expected to follow soon.
The outlet Bankarstvo.mk previously reported that Apple Pay was expected to launch for users in Macedonia this fall.
Apple has not yet updated its website to reflect availability in Macedonia.
Apple Pay allows iPhone and Apple Watch users to make secure, contactless payments without needing a physical card.
Google Pay, on the other hand, became available in Macedonia in 2023.
